(1) What is your essential question, and what are your answers? What is your best answer and why?
- How can cancer treatment team best support a patient throughout their treatment process?
- Being supportive
- Understanding the patient
- Being able to communicate with patients/families
- My best answer is being supportive to the family but most importantly to the patient itself
(2) What process did you take to arrive at this answer?
- The process i took to arrive to this answer is mentoring with an oncology nurse and seeing how she handled things with her patients. she told me herself that being very supportive to a patient is the number one key so they know that there is someone there that is helping them through everything
(3) What problems did you face? How did you resolve them?
- to be honest, I didn't encounter any problems because my schedule and the nurses schedule worked out very well.
(4) What are the two most significant sources you used to answer your essential question and why?
- Jennifer Ochoa (nurse) was one very significant and great source
- The City of Hope hospital website was another great source too
- They helped because they both gave me a lot of great information about being an oncologist and being supportive to a patient.
